Solid Rock – Just moved to a new location, but the same great food as always! Vegetarian options, great homemade soups, & great breakfast!
Serendipity – Just off ‘Leather Row’, also vegetarian friendly, and great soup! Coo Coo’s Nest – on Thursdays there is an open market in front of the restaurant, as well.
Pizza
La Casa Vieja – Located on San Francisco Square, just diagonal from Banco Pichincha. The pizza is great, and the wine is reasonably priced!
Aliani Pizzaria & Cafeteria – Located on ‘Leather Row’ (Avenida 10 de Agosto). Their pizza crust is a little thicker, and they don’t skimp on the cheese!
Café Roma Italian Food Pizza & Pasta – Located on Calle Pedro Moncayo, near Avenida 10 de Agosto, if you want a little more variety of options, as well as vegetarian.
Coffee Shops & Bakeries
The Pastry Shop – Located on San Francisco Square, just down the block from Banco Pichincha. They sell organic coffee locally grown, also have great soups, and wonderful baked goods.
Café Rio Intag – Located next to The Pastry Shop. Their bakery and coffee is also great!
Dinner
Vaca Gorda – Also on ‘Leather Row’. Their hamburger gives new meaning to the term “loaded”! We haven’t had a meal here we didn’t totally love!
La Casa del Turista – Located at Bolivar and Avenida 10 de Agosto. A huge and varied menu, vegetarian friendly, reasonable prices!
